Sidcup is well connected for a suburban district of the London Borough of Bexley, with three railway stations serving the area and quick road access to London and the M25.

Sidcup railway station

Sidcup railway station opened in 1866 and sits in the centre of town, between the High Street and Station Road. It is on the Dartford loop line, with Southeastern services running towards London (Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge and Cannon Street) and out towards Dartford and Gravesend.

Albany Park and New Eltham

Two further stations serve the edges of Sidcup:

- Albany Park, on the eastern side, is also on the Dartford loop line and gives the surrounding 1930s suburb a strong commuter character.
- New Eltham, on the western edge where Bexley meets Greenwich, provides another Southeastern route into London.

Between them, the three stations mean most of Sidcup is within reach of a train into central London.

Buses and roads

Several bus routes run through Sidcup along the High Street, Station Road and Main Road, linking the town with Bexleyheath, Welling, Eltham and the wider borough. By road, the A20 runs close to the south of the town, giving fast access towards central London in one direction and the M25 in the other. The A222 and A211 connect Sidcup with neighbouring districts.
